Can a sunny daffodil robbed of its yellow hue still be beautiful ?

Still finding my way around the Lensbaby Velvet 56 art lens and revisiting the colour vs monochrome dialogue that is always interesting to explore . Having started out as a black and white film photographer I often hanker after that anticipation , waiting to see if my painting with light worked . Were the blacks really black and the detail defined, delicate or dramatic ! These days I can choose to photograph in monochrome or colour and convert simply in post editing . So what do you think ? Can a sunny daffodil robbed of its yellow hue still be beautiful?
